The exhibition rien de rien brings together recent works by the two artists Vera Lossau and Maren Maurer, both of whom are primarily known as sculptors, but who make versatile artistic work in various techniques, processes, forms of expression and genres.
‍rien de rien comes from the title of the work by Vera Lossau, a neon sign that stands for an attitude towards life that demands a new beginning. Vera Lossau's sculptures and large-scale collages operate on processes of condensation. Maren Maurer addresses the processes of identity formation both in the local and global society using traditional techniques of metal casting as well as drawing. The exhibition is curated by Matthias Erntges.
